Pictures from two RedSox games at Fenway Park: First 16 pictures from September 20th, 1958 against the Washington Senators, Sox won 2-0 boxscore Last 10 pictures from September 3rd, 1960 also against the Washington Senators, Sox won 5-4 boxscore
The innocence of Fenway is the first thing I noticed, no advertisements in view on the Monster (or anywhere). The field looks a little run down, not the pristine hallowed grounds that exist today. Also notice the sparse growd. Dead center is practically empty as is right field beyond the bullpens. In the pictures from the second game there are many more fans in the bleachers in centerfield.
In the 1960 game pictures, some of the shots are from the first inning when the RedSox scored three of their five runs on a three run homerun by Vic Wertz, scoring Pumpsie Green and Ted Williams, both of whom had walked.
